Bought this together with all the other Combaticons to form Bruticus. Shipping was way too long, over 1 month to ship to the US. It was packed well so no damage during delivery.

As for the figure itself, I have to say he looks absolutely awesome in all modes. While I’m not a fan of opening flaps to transform, I understand that is the compromise to get all his modes to look as toon accurate as possible. His transformation is not too bad like some of his fellow Combaticons. Material is a big improvement over past figures and I actually like the gummy muted looks as it fits well with the cartoon looks and allow you to make these transformation. Harder plastic would not have held up well. Like some of his fellow Combaticons, he had some QC issues. There were stains that look like dried up glue or something on the top part of his shuttle mode. When transforming into combiner mode, his waist becomes the forearm swivel, making it a little loose. However, it’s not as bad as Vortex and doesn’t flop down when he holds up his gun. I’m not sure if that is a QC problem or just a design flaw. The paint, or what little there is, is great and a big improvement over past figures. Articulation is excellent for robot mode. I took away 1 star bc of the QC issue and the waist being a little loose in combiner mode. Besides that, this is the best version of the Combaticons and Bruticus that has ever been made, any scale from any company. Period. It’s a bit on the pricey side to own all 5, $280 with shipping, but if you are even remotely interested, then you have to put them in your collection.

I can only give 5 stars for him and the other combaticons, the best combiner ever made for me, fantastic in every mode, I also wanted to compliment the improvement of the plastic, the excellent painting and the transformation engineering, good work magic square

The best Blastoff ever released, period. Very cartoon accurate. Just an amazing figure all around.

I had always wanted a toon accurate set of transformers ever since seeing the amazing things that third party companies are doing with their “unofficial” lines. The Combaticons are one of my all time favorite teams and each figure from Magic Square has miraculously made them as if they leaped right out of a G1 episode and right onto your shelf! The look is perfect. The articulation is great! I couldn’t be happier! With Blast Off being the last piece of this amazing set they did not disappoint! Magic Square has established themselves as the masters of toon accurate art for these figures and have made me feel like a kid again collecting them! If you’re a big G1 fan you owe it to yourself to add the entire team to your collection!! I hope they do a box set like they did with the other Decepticon combiners they’ve released so far! These are so good I’d buy the full set if and when they release an all in one box!! Make it happen soon Magic Square!!
