MS knocked it out of the park again with this figure! MS-B54 Tornado is highly poseable and has an enjoyable, clever transformation. Both modes look amazing despite some small gaps and seams. My only real gripe is the head is on a peg instead of a ball joint. WHY??

All things considered still super impressive. 9 out of 10

Bought this together with all the other Combaticons to form Bruticus. Shipping was way too long, over 1 month to ship to the US. It was packed well so no damage during delivery.

As for the figure itself, I have to say he looks absolutely awesome in all modes. While I’m not a fan of opening flaps to transform, I understand that is the compromise to get his modes to look as toon accurate as possible. My main complaint is his transformation is overly complicated and will admit, I did not have fun transforming him. I had a sense of relief when it was over. Material is a big improvement over past figures and I actually like the gummy muted looks as it fits well with the cartoon looks and allow you to make these transformation. Harder plastic would not have held up. One thing I don’t like is the QC. The other figures were not as great as it could be. The propeller had extra plastic that didn’t allow it to fold out straight. I had to cut some of the plastic to fix the problem. The paint, or what little there is, is great and a big improvement over past figures. Articulation is excellent for robot mode. However, I have one issue with him. When transformed into the arm of Bruticus, the waist becomes the forearm rotation, making it extremely loose that it flops around and can’t hold anything up. I took 1 star off for the QC issues, the overly complicated and not so fun transformation, and the waist being so floppy and loose when in combiner mode. Other than that, this is the best version of the Combaticons and Bruticus that was ever been made, any scale from any company. Period. It’s a bit on the pricey side to own all 5, $280 with shipping, but if you are even remotely interested, then you have to put them in your collection.

Just received my ms-tornado and I must say that yet again I’m not disappointed! Fantastic model to both transform and to pose, if not a little bit hard to transform from bot to alt mode but that makes it all the fun at the end of the day! I can never recommend this company highly enough as they constantly hit it out the park with these figures! Just blastoff to get now and bruticus will be mine!
