This has got to be hands down my favorite figure I’ve collected from magic square so far even though I’ve only collected their optimus, megaton, gears, energy, bumblebee, and jazz.
The figure is massive for legends scale, he is about the size of a hasbro voyager class transformer or masterpiece car bot. Out of the box the figure was flawless, the joints were perfectly smooth and held their positions while posing incredibly well and they even managed to give jet fire an ab-crunch, while the majority of the figure is unpainted they seemed to have used two types of white one being a milky white and an off white which can add a good contrast that collectors may or may not prefer, I honestly don’t mind, as long as it doesn’t yellow over time. What really sold me on this figure is how beautifully cohesive he is and how well he cleans up, there are zero gaps anywhere on this figure, the back pack is a little panelly but cartoon accurate and may I add the most compressed backpack I’ve seen on a jetfire figure, and it does not prohibit the stability of the figure, he does an amazing job standing up and pulling off dynamic poses. Also the transformation is such a pleasurable experience, it is so satisfying seeing the panels just effortlessly come together and the conversion results in a beautiful jet mode. While debatably not the most cartoon accurate because let’s face it the cartoon was wildly inconsistent, the figure stands proud and looks strong, I love his proportions.

Amazing job magic square you really put a lot of love and effort into this guy and I appreciate it so much, very deserving of 5 stars

Thank you Magic Square, this is the Skyfire toy I have always wanted a company to make! Ever since I saw the “Fire in the Sky” episode of Transformers back when I was a kid I wanted to have a Skyfire toy but never saw one in stores back then. As I got older and could search one out on my own it seemed each version offered never really looked right to me. Then as I started collecting Legends scale figures this ultimate version comes along checking off all the boxes I wanted to have! His size is great and he looks awesome by himself or with the team. Before EVERYBODY got a combiner he was the only bot of real imposing size besides the leaders but his peaceful and scientific nature kept him most closely aligned with the Autobots. Plus he gave the ground based good-guys that needed boost of aerial transportation and back-up before Powerglide or Omega Supreme or Sky-Lynx ever showed up. I really like the stability of such a large figure and feel like he can be posed to take on a number of cons single handed! He has a good solid feel to him and I like the heroic proportions he portrays in any stance. His transformation was smooth and the starship alt mode is well represented as well. If you are looking for the best Skyfire figure for your Legends scale collection then your search ends here!

This figure certainly looks the part and is nicely finished. I don’t think I’ve seen a more cartoon-accurate Skyfire/Jetfire to date. The kibble on the back is a tad heavy and makes it tricky to stand this guy up. But what keeps me from a 5-star rating is the condition of the figure I received. Several body panels are yellowed, the cockpit window is scratched, the leg joints are a bit loose and it all gives the impression that the figure is used. Not sure if this was a customer return, a manufacturing defect or sloppy QC but it’s disappointing for an otherwise outstanding figure.
