First off I love this representation of Megatron, he is incredibly g1 accurate, with a magical transformation absolutely ridiculous articulation even with the intuitive conversion and the new paint job adds that premium quality look and gives him a more g1 accurate color scheme, but that’s not without this figures flaws,

first off if you love to display your transformers I would 100% recommend this guy however if you are like someone like me who likes to play with the figure I would recommend Magic Squares previous unpainted megaton’s

The strength of the paint is unfortunately inconsistent without the figure, I found many parts can withstand the complex transformation but other painted areas seem very prone to chipping especially around the armpits and gun barrel. Another down side is that quite literally (with the exception of a few parts) the entirety of the figure is painted, that is including the joints of the figure, which can just shave paint off when posing him, but then some painted joints can seemingly take the heat? The paint tolerance is just inconsistent so if you are going to pick this guy up he will make an excellent display piece, but of course if you plan to transform him let me give you a few tips to avoid paint chipping and stressing.

    1. Remove the hands and reattach them towards the end of the transformation

    2. Remove the top of the gun barrel and sand it down, it was painted inside and way to tight to swivel

    3. Sand down the pegs that tab the arms into the chest, my copy it was almost impossible to un-tab the arms

    4. Sand the heck down on the silencer, this was the biggest issue the silencers attachment port was way way to small for the gun barrel to slide into, and resulted in massive paint chipping around the barrel 😔

    5. Work every joint until they are smooth enough to withstand the transformation especially with the swivels at the biceps, those mushroom pegs were painted and it made the figure super solid, maybe a little too solid

    6. I would just advise you to be very careful when transforming to avoid chipping, also sand down the stock so it fits better.

For the amazing price point magic square sells this mini masterpiece for (not to mention he has a kibbleless back 😉) I am totally willing to comply with these issues, it’s just disappointing because I like to keep my figures in the best condition they can be in. I hope going forward if magic square releases more repaints they will avoid painting all the joints and using stronger paint. But all in all this is one heck of an amazing little megatron. Without a doubt the best legends scale megatron, and if magic square made this guy masterpiece scaled, holy cow! That would be awesome 👏

Visually stunning and fun to transform. The accessories add so much more variety to display options. I highly recommend getting the waterslide decals as well to add some extra detail!

Another amazing G1 accurate figure from Magic Square. This representation of Megatron is head on. Like having the cartoon hero in your hands. Both robot and gun modes are amazing. All those accessories are a plus and add to the diversity in display options that you already have with such a highly articulated figure. Another solid G1 character. 10/10
